U administrators and campus planners are continuing to work on plans to build a mixed-use development on the Rice-Eccles Stadium parking lot. Tami Cleveland, a campus planner at the U, said project plans would include retail stores, housing, restaurants and parking for students and the public.

The Marriott Library wants to reopen its east entrance Aug. 25 after a year of closure, bringing a slew of new additions throughout the building for students.
